Hi. I haven't really posted on here but have been lurking for a very long time. I have been on the Crohn's board and did spend a lot of time here following everyone's stories as I had a temporary ileostomy in February of this year and was lucky enough to have it reversed in May of this year. about a week before my reversal I had to order supplies and now I have a box of extra supplies that none of the local hospitals seem to want and I don't want to throw them out. So, if there is anyone on here that could use some supplies let me know. I will post what items I have and the sizes after I go look again at the boxes.

Lisa--Congrats on your reversal!!  Doesn't that always happen, order supplies, have reversal...I cannot believe your Stoma Nurse didn't want them!!  Here's a suggestion:  Call your local Ostomy Association.  They always have someone in need who may not have insurance or another financial situation that doesn't allow them to get the supplies they need.  I am lucky to be able to drop them off with my Stoma Nurse and a wonderful volunteen matches them to someone in need :-)

Hope things continue to go your way...Good Luck!

Hi Lisa,
I may be interested...I just have to double check on the sizes. My stoma is 2 3/4. What is centerpoint lock wafer. I will look them up and if I can use I will let u know because they get very expensive. thank u. I had my ileostomy redone bigger and I have a lot of supplies from my old size that I need to give away as well. ANYONE INTERESTED PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

I don't or ever had a stoma nurse and my hospital doesn't want them.

I forgot to mention that they are convex wafers.

Here's a description:

  • Built-in convexity means added security and skin protection for recessed, retracted and flush stomas...cut-to-fit openings.
  • Protects the skin over extended wearing time from irritating discharge. Flextend skin barrier is the barrier of choice for urostomies and ileostomies.
  • Security assured with patented CenterPointLock feature; prevents accidental separation of pouch from skin barrier.

Hi Rita,
I have also been a member for a few years, I don't post very often but I do read the board all the time. I was wondering if you still had the extra supplies and if so what size are they. If they are the correct size I would be very interested in them. Let me know and we can arrange for postage.

Thanks
Sue
