This ostomy forum saved me from deep depression back in 2006 and 2007 because I was diagnosed with UC and then my colon perphorated 8 days after my first upflare and I had no idea what was going on I had no time to study or think I just woke up one day with the ostomy and my life has been changed forever in a blink of an eye ( 30 days in the hospital for 1st surgery). I went through 3 surgeries and now have the jpouch. It just turned two and I am doing very well. love it more than the ostomy and im glad I went for the jpouch.
I know this is a great place for help and support but I cannot be here on this site for every long or very often because my feeling and thoughts come back from when I was sick I love to help others get through this and it is nice to know there are other people who have the same things that I do. But its just too hard.

I will check back later and I hope everyone has a healthy 2009.

Good for you for making such a turnaround!  I know how hard it can be to be so ill and then recover and want to get out and enjoy life again.
