OMG OMG OMG!!!
I won the lottery!  not like the powerball oranything, but 50k on a scratch off!  OMG OMG OMG!!!
 
I wanted to share i think its the most exciting thing that ever happened to me

36 year old single mum to a 2.5 year old son
Suspected Crohns when 10 years ago had a very painful rectal abscess
Diagnosed with Crohns desease properly 6 years ago
2008 developed fistula bowel perforated onto bladder resulting in temporary ileostomy
hopefully a reversal around March 2009.

Daughter bratcat was diagnosed with pancolitis October 2006
Flared Fall 2006, Fall 2007, Spring 2008
Asacol, Rowasa, hydrocortisone enemas, prednisone, 6-mp, Remicade
7/3/08-Step 1 j-pouch surgery and no more meds!
11/10/08-Step 2 reconnect!
 
Son nonamejames was diagnosed with Crohns in Spring 2008
Asacol, Pentasa, 6-mp

spleen/appendix/gall bladder  removed/endometriosis/complete hysterectomy at 29/sinus surgery/numerous allergies & asthma/chronic kidney stones/ pancreatitis 3x's/2 knee surgeries-now need replacement/shoulder surgery w/ pins-which also froze following surgery/severe adhesions & scar tissue-stomach to chest-liver to ribs-colon to pelvis/severe IBS w/ constipation/subtotal colectomy 7/08-
 
Am now down from 17 meds a day to 8 and VERY healthy:)
 
There's always hope and things will get better :)

they already took the taxes out *makes a sad face* but still ended up with a good chunk of change!
esp for a 3 dollar ticket i almost threw away!

we are gonna pay off my husbands car, i also bought a website and am flying my bestest friend in from texas! after that there isn't much left, but the car payment is gone, woo hoo!

Jo - UC, total colectomy and ileostomy on August 24, 2007. Step 2 & ileostomy switched to left side - May 27, 2008, and take down August 8, 2008. Gallbladder removed December 5, 2008. LIFE IS GOOD.

Dx Mild Proctitis 7/06 at age 33, Dx Severe Pan Colitis 5/07, Dx Crohn's Colitis 10/07
Failed Asacol, Lialda, 6-MP, Canasa, Rowasa, Proctofoam, Entocort, Remicade, Humira
10/10/08 colon removed, temporary ileostomy
11/10/08 FINALLY off prednisone after 18 months
2nd of 3 surgeries planned for '09 to form j-pouch

28 yrs. old. married with one beautiful daughter (born 11/20/07)
-diagnosed with severe pancolitis u/c 2002 had total colectomy 12/19/08; emergency surgery due to abscess-had to redo ileostomy and switch to left side 12/25/08; 1/29/09 found blood clot in superior mesenteric vein (prob. from inf. and surgery inflammation)
pred. taper, coumadin, carafate, prenatal vit., and pain meds
(ileostomy temporary....not so sure?)

prednisolone 2mg tapering
gave up on meds after infliximab (remicade), humira, salofalk (5-asa enema), entocort, Azathioprine, steroid emenas, abadacept
 
have temp ileostomy, reversal early Mar 2009.
 
and I don't know where the nearest toilet is!

Good for you.I won $5000.00 on the powerball about 8 years ago it is so exciting.
Lost half of my small intestineJan.2008.Ilieostomy for 5 months then reverst in June 2008,Nerve damage to right leg,part of my right hip bone removed Jan. 2008,Cronic pain,hernia,infection in my back called discites,and depression.Gallbladder removed Nov,2008.Surgery to fuse L3 and L4 vertabra Dec. 31,2008.Mother to 9 kids 7 boys 2 girls and 1 stepson.4 grandsons,9 grandaughters.4 of my grandkids I inherited from my twin sister who passed away 6 1/2 years ago from a blood clot after surgery.God has given me my life back after I almost lost it.Even though its a painful and sometimes hard road to walk I take it one step at a time and give thanks to god for every step I take.
