Hi all, question for those who use the sensura flex.  ONe is, can u burp this thing? i have it and i  love how much more discrete it feels, but i get gassy i want to know if i can burp it.

Also, when u want to change the bag, do have to change the entire appliance or can u just change the bag? if i wanted to just change the bag would it affect the ability to stick?

n e help would b greatl appreciated!

What do you mean by burping the bag? I'm just curious.

We had a previous discussion about the Flex and I believe it can be changed without taking off the wafer. If you look back for previous discussion titles it should be called something regarding Coloplast or SenSura. I have trials from Coloplast and am nervous to use them...do you feel comfortable with it? I'm currently using their 2-piece click system, and I like it a lot. I just recently had a little issue with the adhesive...I was able to keep my wafer on for 7 days, but my skin got a little irritated, so I think I'll be forced to change every 5 or so just to prevent this from happening again. Isn't that normal?

Sorry I'm asking questions myself on your post! : )

P4H--I don't know!! they sent the wrong size, so I couldn't try the samples...I think somewhere, somebody did change just the pouch...but I don't know about burping from the seal...you could always burp from the bottom, but then why not just empty!! Let us know how it works out:)

I'm currently loving the Sensura Flex. I'm kind of unclear on the burping thing. I just let air out of the bottom when emptying... Not sure it would make sense to try burping from the top, as you would have to unstick it. Supposedly, the pouches can be re-stuck to the wafer many many times, but I'm scared to try, not sure why. The good news is, the pouch holds up so well, it lasts until I change the wafer, which is currently every 6 days (which is the longest I've gotten out of any appliance).

Last time I changed the appliance, I removed the pouch first, just to see how things looked. Stool kind of dribbled onto the wafer, and I would be worried that maybe a new pouch might not adhere as well even after it was wiped. I am likely just neurotic, lol, would love to hear anyone else's experience.

I think the Coloplast rep told me that each pouch can be re-stuck 20 times (!!) without a leakage problem. I'm just a chicken, enjoying no leakage issues and don't want to tempt fate.
