I don't think there is anything to worry on this count as it is quite normal. You see the stoma changes shape in the first 4 to 5 weeks. Initially it is a bit swollen and big and over period of time it becomes oval. In so far as the skin below is stoma is concerned, please show it to your ET, just to ensure that the sutures are in order. Another thing - what you are thinking to be skin may be the adhesive in the appliance/bag. Over period of time it becomes fluffy and looks as if it is growing over the skin. I am sure it must be the stoma bag which may have worn out because of discharge from ileo.
