So I figured since my "smokers not-anonymous" thread worked out pretty good for me, I'd start one for the juice. Not a big secret I like to get smashed a whole lot and would like to slow it down a bit. Maybe just a couple nights a week instead of, well, every night lol. Not that I actually drink all that much at one time, I just drink a little a lot, and it's always later in the evenings. I don't want to end up with the big nose and the red skin, plus I'm getting fat over here 'cause I eat when I drink. And this whole no-job thing isn't really helping the situation any. But starting tomorrow my goal is gonna be to make it to Friday night with no juice in between. So haha wish me luck!!

Mind over matter... you can do it! yeah If you hit the gym instead, you'll get an all-natural endorphin high.

good luck!! I've never drank alcohol to excess. I have tasted many, but never found anything I like.

I was never much of a drinker, even in college. I hope you kick the drinking thing, Matt....even on the weekends!! Also, I don't know what your profession or industry is, but there are plenty of jobs out there. It's just that the competition is now greater than ever. If you're good at what you do you'll find something. It just might take longer than usual. Jusy keep your chin up and try not to drink your misery away!!!

Good goals. "No challenge no change" has always been my motto so if you want it, make it happen. It will be hard at first but hey what isn't.

Well, ugh. I can't say I've been overly successful so far. I've cut the amount in 1/2 the last two days so I guess that's progress, but I'm obviously not going to meet my goal. Perhaps unrealistic to stop cold turkey. I guess I need to cut down slowly, that seems to be working so far. So, new goal-cut the drink in 1/2 until Friday and see what happens

Sorry Matt, but that strategy rarely works, and you're only kidding yourself!!!  Hell, you've already overcome a very traumatic surgery with great success. You can do just about anything, now!

HMM, it seems the last week has been a dismal failure. Like, HORRIBLE. Everyone seems to want to go for drinks to see me off. Not real supportive, but what the heck do you do. These ppl think they're doing something nice since they're not going to see me for a long time, if ever again. I dunno what to think/do
