hi dusti,

I sent you an e-mail because I would like to know your experiences with colectomy and general dysmotility. I have CIP meaning that my stomach and my small bowel don't work well and my large bowel did not work at all. I had several surgeries and in December 2008 a total colectomy and ileostomy due to colonic and rectal inertia.

Hope I'll hear from you

here's the mail:

as far as I remember you had a total colectomy at the age of 13. Three years later you had a proctocolectomy with a j-pouch because you had developed rectal inertia.
Two years later you got your ileostomy due to the disease that had spread upon your small intestine as well. So how long did it take you to notice symptoms of small bowel dysmotility? Were they existent before the age of 18? Was it a process or a sudden event?
How long did the relief from the colectomy and from the proctocolectomy last?

how are you are doing now with the ileostomy? Do you have still obstructions?

by the way...do you remember Andrea/danaalbertine?

Hi!

I am 22-year-old girl from Germany. I have read your posts in the healing-well forum and got to know that you suffer from dysmotility throughout the entire digestive tract. I too have Chronic Intestinal Pseusoobstruction that affects my stomach, my small and large bowel and my bladder. If you liked to know more abou me just read my little presentation on helaing-well...http://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=33&m=1448510

I am looking forward to hear your story.
