The two forums with the most topics and replies on this board are the Crohns and UC forums.  I dont know why i find that interesting.  maybe because most of us used to post on those boards.

Maybe it's because they are still searching and looking for new therapy's and solutions. And we are now just dealing with our solutions.

28 yrs. old. married with one beautiful daughter (born 11/20/07)
-diagnosed with severe pancolitis u/c 2002 had total colectomy 12/19/08; emergency surgery due to abscess-had to redo ileostomy and switch to left side 12/25/08; 1/15/09 found blood clot in superior mesenteric vein (prob. from inf. and surgery inflammation)
pred. taper, coumadin, carafate, prenatal vit., and pain meds
(ileostomy temporary....not so sure?)

That's what I have always been wondering. I joined only in January, 2009. I find it to be very informative, and addictive too.

Its' quite surprising that on other forums on HW, one hardly gets a quick response. Here we have supportive and caring folks. What do you say??? We are the world of UC & Crohns.

more dominate than people know until it hits them. then you're looking for help. this is really a great site for our club. thankful you folks are out there. this is our journey. we'll just ride the storm and come what may.

When I was sick there was only so much TV I could watch...maybe they're keeping in touch!!

another thought:

u/c and crohns are probably a bit more common than other illnesses too. It seems like so many people have IBD
and it tends to affect all different types of people.
