Let me start by saying that I was very nervous about starting back to school with Penelope.  I am in a grad program that meets in the evenings from 5-8 twice a week...next month it will be from 5-10 (I am nervous about that)...anyway, I seem to have found a decent routine of meals and what-not that gets me through the night.  I'm sure we've all experienced the social stomas when we go too long without eating, and we've all those meals that run straight through and fill our accessories within an hour...so, I am just extremely happy to feel a little like everyone else again.  My parents were so happy yesterday b/c I was wearing so pre-pregnancy, pre-UC clothes and my accessory was anything but noticable.  : )

But what I'm really writing about is my new TATTOO!!!!!!!  I had beautiful filigree lined around my scar on my bicep and it is gorgeous!!!  We opted for a medium gray color, as the lined nude color really would fade away.  My tattoo ventures into the crease of my arm opposite my elbow, the side of the inside of my arm and half way up my bicep...LOVE IT!!!!  It is definitely the first of a few, and I am so excited!!!

I now have something very beautiful in a place where there is something very ugly that brings emotional turmoil.  I was so emotional after I left the tattoo parlor.  My sister and I kind of teared together, and my parents and I talked about the long road we had and how this amazing piece now signifies my survival and the beauty of life.

Cheesy, I know.  : )

I seriously think I want to specialize in counseling chronic illness and individuals and families in similar situations we all have been in.  I have such a passion and drive to pay it forward.

Have a wonderful day!!!
