I forgot to tell you that besides taking the probiotics when on antibiotics, my drs also have me eating yogurt 3x's a day; my urologist put me on Danactive but my GI changed it to Super Yogurt, you can get it from Wegman's.

Thought you might like to know this as every little bit of info is helpful.

Hugs,
Judy

Judy,

Thanks for the advice.  I'll get some at the store tomorrow.  I don't love yogurt, but I'll eat it if I should!

Ever since I started bactrim and the lactinex, I've hardly gone to the bathroom at all?  Do you think that could cause constipation?  I'm starting to get a little scared!

Janie,

Are you still taking the metamucil?  This may be too much for you now.  I personally don't have the problem with this bc of the c diff, it causes extreme D, also I get D from probiotics.

Are you eating foods to help keep things loose like canned fruits and cooked veggies?  Let me know how you are doing.

Hugs,
Judy

Judy,
I only take 1 teaspoon of metamucil every evening, but I may not take it tonight. I haven't eaten any canned fruit, until last week I still had loose stools fairly often. I'll try that. I was still doing white bread, white rice, etc. Guess I'll change my diet. I find that when I eat very much at a time it really stops me up. I wouldn't mind just going 2-3 times a day if I didn't feel like there was so much left inside!
