Hi All

I have enjoyed reading your posts and really dont feel that out on my own anymore.  I have had so many questions answered by reading through all of your postings.  So thank you for that.  I am in a small town and dont have access to surgeons, specialists or ostomy nurses, so it is nice to hear from experts as yourselves.  I had surgery Feb 13th and now have an ileostomy.  I had UC for about 6 years and had done relatively well between medication excersise and diet.  Then the disease raged through me, left me hospitalized with little choice.  So here I am still wondering what the heck happened.  So I spend alot of time simply enjoying my food.  I didnt think that I would consider doing the take down surgery given my experience with the first surgery, but after reading all of your talk about the success of this I have a referral in to see a surgeon in a bigger center.  So I look forward to exploring this.

Mostly I just wanted to thank everyone for the wisdom and hope, I have truly needed both in the last few months.

Sue

One more thing, I cant remember whose story it was about the cat, the vet and the shreaded bag, but I read that on my third week back to work and after having two leaks at work. I so appreciated the story, becuase it totally made me laugh at a time when I had had enough. Thank you.

Sue,

Welcome! I'm glad you found us and don't feel so alone anymore.  This site has helped me a lot, too.

That story about the cat was definitely summerstorm's. You'll learn that she has the funniest stories!

I hope you're doing well and aren't having leaks anymore. Let us know if you are, and we can suggest a bunch of things to try.

Oops, that's right! You had a different cat story. The one where he was in your car freaking out.

Sue,
Welcome to HW.com! So good to have you and happy that we can help in any way. This site has helped me in the past and believe me, there are some funny stories that make me chuckle here. We all have our funny issues, frustrating issues... it's just good to be able to laugh at them. WHat else can you do?
