Hello all-

I just got an email from Hodaya's sister Gila who lives in the states and has just returned from Israel. She is very conncerned for Hodaya as well as the doctors. She has had continuous vomiting with no relief or cause, but they are doing testing. She gave me her phone number in San Diego to call her with any suggestions as to any ideas we have of what could be going on. She wanted me to update you all and ask your advice. She is very worried. She did not mention NG tube and that was the first thing I asked. Hodaya is also very knowledgable, but I am unsure she is able to suggest much right now. I myself had an ileus for 7 days and was still vomiting after discharge. I ended up having a leak not caught on CT and MRI even with rectal contrast which ended up in four abscesses. I told her this and as much as i could. If youhave any ideas please post them and I will pass them on to her sister. She is on facebook for those of you who are.

Thanks
Lizzie

I just spoke with her sister Gila. They do not have an NG in and I told her to call her mom and please suggest this very soon. She said they have done xrays and everything looks good, they are suspecting its an ileus at this time. She thanks everyone for caring so much for her sister.

do you know what Hoday had done exactly????  I just wondered if all of just some bowel was removed?? I ask becasue when i had just a foot of bowel removed in 2007 my inertia was 100% worse and nothing really helped until the whole bowel taken out.

hope u are ok and i am so sorry for hodaya sad x

NG tube allows your system to rest until it is ready to work...sometimes you don't have one post-op but if you vomit a lot (they measure it!) they'll put one in until your system wakes up. Not everyone gets one/needs it.

Thanks for the updates Lizzie...
