Now I have a question.

When I get my staples out tomorrow are they going to take out the stoma stitches too?

Do I need to bring all new stuff to redo flange and bag cause they have to take it off to take out stitches?

they didnt take mine out. But i would take stuff just in case. He might want to look at your stoma and the site and all.

My stoma stitches were never removed, they dissolved on their own. The visit with the surgeon didn't accomplish much for me... I told him my ribs were sore, he told me why they were sore, and not much else. He didn't even ask about my stoma, let alone look at it, and I didn't realize it until I was back home.

Take a change with you because it's better to be safe than sorry but don't be surprised if you don't need it.

I think they leave them to dissolve on their own. I'd be surprised if they did.

He probably just wants to make sure your not having any major health issues, and that your stoma looks healthy. I wore a clear bag.
