I have an ileostomy and have had my rectum removed. Everything was fine sex wise for 4 years or so and then I started gradually to have pain during sex and it's like my muscles tightened and it hurt a lot.
so they tested me and everything and i had no std's and no scar tissue in the vaginal area. My doctor suggested physiotherapy and when i got my first appointment she asked me questions and said it was probably due to some scar tissue build-up in the anal area that was the cause of it. So i've been doing exercises and rubbing the scar tissue helps to loosen it up a little so it's not so stiff on your lady parts lol sorry about all this i'm trying to help out some people who have the same problem as me. I used to blame myself and thought it was all in my head but a couple of weeks ago I was successful in a pain free experience and I was so happy! So for some who are having problems with sex talk to your doctor about physiotherapy, just a few visits REALLY make a difference. I would love to hear about people with similar situations.
