funny story:
I was changing my appliance this morning in the bathroom. I was standing with my ostomy directly above the toilet while putting paste on the wafer.
I suddenly had to sneeze. A BIG sneeze. Naturally, I closed my eyes and when I opened them, the wall next to the toilet was splattered with my poo!!! I had to laugh. It looked like someone had taken brown paint on a paint brush and splatted it. I laughed and laughed. I should've taken a pic.
I only wish my eyes were open and I could've witnessed the spray. It probably was awesome.
I didn't even think to cover the stoma during the sneeze. BUT I will next time!

It was funny, but I felt bad you had to go through that while I was reading it. I'm still at the stage where if it were happening to me I would have cried, a lot.

oh no. don't feel bad.
You get over the crying thing, eventually.
I'm used to cleaning the bathroom floor and general toilet area.

Trigirl-You're just going through the grieving stage now. Eventually, you hit acceptance.
You have to learn to take it all in stride. It's part of you now.
Then, things get funny.
