I've had IBD for many years and was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis (now Crohns) in 1994. Now, after several years of rectal bleeding my J-pouch (for Ulcerative Colitis) has to be removed and a permenent Iliostomy installed. Over the last 12 years I have had 2 Ostomies and 1 Colostomy so I know kind of what I am coming back to. My last Ostomy was in 2005 and I had some difficult issues of white skin burn around the stoma site. I see that there are a few improvements to the ostomy system like the Phoenix belt but what else has changed or improved?

Welcome back Dave! Sorry to hear your j-pouch is failing. I'm not sure what is new and improved...I've been pretty much using the same system for 10 years!

Hopefully things will be smooth sailing for you this time:)
