Since having my TC i have found my sexual desire virtually nil.  I feel as though some part of me has actually 'gone'.  I wasnt too fussed about sex before anyway cause of feeling so ill all the time.  Is this my head or do you feel it is a physical thing ? Anyone else feel 'different' .

It took me a while to be ok with sex again. A couple months. I just still felt swollen and didn't want to agitate anything. I'm better now but still takes some time to get in the mood....

Are you on narcotics? Those can really drop your testosterone levels...even if you're not, it never hurts to check.

Karen,

I definitely have the same problem. I have no interest at all. I think the biggest problem for me is that my rear end is always so sore, and alot of times I get so chapped, all around the entire area around my rear end if you know what I mean. It's been 6 months now,and my husband tries to understand, but it is an issue. So much of the time I either am going alot because I drink prune juice, or I feel so miserable because I have to go....so no, you're not alone.

Yeah - good to know. No i am not on narcotics but may be i should be ! Might make me feel more relaxed. Yes Janie six months is a long time - only had sex twice from my surgery in march to date - my sexual response is dead - it is like i feel nothing. thanks and hope all improves. in any event my marriage is not going good anyway so that doesnt help so i dont care really.

I'm so glad you posed this question, Karen. I have wondered the same thing! I was really sick in April and May and had my first surgery in May. I haven't wanted to have sex at all during that timeframe. So we're talking about 6 months since the last time my boyfriend and I had sex. He tries to be understanding and I assured him its not personal at all. But I'm hoping this isn't a permanent thing!

Karen,

I haven't gone 6 months without sex; what I meant was it had been 6 months since surgery! We have had it a few times, but not as often as my husband would like. I sort of have to plan it by doing it before meals and after I've cleaned myself out with prune juice or an enema...certainly the romance is gone. I'd be happy to just skip it, but my husband was so wonderful to me while I was in the hospital that I feel I owe it to him. How sad is that??LOL
