I just had a temporary loop ileostomy installed :) about a month ago. I've notice that after the past two pouch changes it begins to swell and protrude a bit and remains this way (normally is flat to the skin when the pouch is off). Is this normal?

hi Jason hope ur feeling well?? just responding to ur post. yes it's absolutely normal for ur stoma to change shape, size, ect. it usually takes a couple of months for everything to settle down and then ur stoma should remain pretty much the same. please dont be worried by this, as it's all a normal part of the healing process. hope ur recovery goes well for you, and take it very easy to!!!!!!! take care of YOU!!
