I found out last year I have osteoperosis. Went to see a rheumatologist last week and she wants me to have a reclast infusion. I was on Evista for 2 years, but bone denisty actually got worse. I have acid reflux, so some of the drugs are not an option.
I've heard both good and bad things about Reclast; I know flu like symptoms are common, but she said to take tylenol before infusion and every 4-6 hours for a few days if I have a reaction. In her practice, she said she hasn't seen any horrible reactions.
She said not having a colon wouldn't be an issue...
Anyone know about this drug?
