I am so excited. The group meets tomorrow for people with ostomies. Although it is an hours drive away, I think it will be well worth it. I am taking my mom and son, mostly for moral support. I so need this. I feel so self conscious lately.
Heather

I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2000.

I was hospitalized about 10 times between 2000 and 2004. I had about 9(or more) blood transfusions total.

Finally, in January of 2004 I was told the damage was too bad and I needed a permanent ileostomy.

I went through a healthy pregnancy in 2006-2007. I had a handsome 8lb 6oz baby boy.

I have gone to 2 meetings where I live and they are very good. I can ask questions and hear helpful hints. I like to hear other people's experiences.

We are having a big Christmas potluck next week and that should be interesting. Couldn't imagine bringing my family with me. Good you have support like that.

Have a great time.

My favorite car, but doesn't handle that well on the icy roads and would get high centered in a snow drift pretty easy, don't you think?
