hi everyone. i just got home from a sigmoidoscopy about an hour ago.  still feel very drugged so sorry for trhe typos. i was schedled for my reversal on jan 1th but my surgeon says we may have to push it back:( i guess there was narrowing in the rectal area???? has anyone heazrd of this and is it a reasone to postpone surgery? i had my heart set on having my reversal and now i am so sad.  he said my jpouch looks great and i shuldn't have any problerms. it is jus the narrowing he is concerned with. i have to go back to his offce in a week to have another one done but this time no anethesia i guess.

Darlene- Sorry for your set back, but try to look on the brighter side of things.  It's just a postponment....not a cancellation!!!

I bet you it's the drugs they gave you in the hospital....and they'll wear off.  I remember, years ago, I felt great when I would leave the hospital, and then in short order...I would have aches and pains, always feel cold.
Being the anal retentive guy that I am, I went on the net and found those were the same symptoms of someone dealing with carbon monoxide exposure.  So....I went out and spent 200 bucks on Carbon Menoxide alarms.  When I mentioned it to my GI, he thought it was insightful.  But...in a short time, I felt beter.  I still use the carbon menoxide detectors, though!
Give yourself time....and throw on a blanket or two!

Do you have a heating pad? Wrap yourself up in a blanket with one under it and that should help!

Sorry to hear of your delay but it is better to have any issues resolved before your takedown...will they dilate the area?

thanks vette guy and ohio76. the shivering has stopped but i am still having those awful leg cramps. i think i will start a new topic regarding that...

ohio76, i am not sure if he will "dilate" the area or what that all entails??? i was pretty drugged up when i left the hospital yesterday and he discussed with my husband. i am to see him next week to discuss what will take place.
