I have had my j-pouch for about 6 years now, and have been extremely happy with it.  I have had very few problems and am thankful for how well I usually feel.  I am concerned about a medication my new doctor has put me on, it is called Dicyclomine. Has anyone out there ever taken this medication AFTER having a j-pouch?

Hello, I am just reading your post as a new member to the forum. I have had a j-pouch for 1 1/2 yrs and now know what hell on earth menas, I would give anything to go back to having uc!!! I have no control over when, etc. I avg. 15 bm's a day and have seen so many doctors I cannot even count. All do a "pouchoscopy" all come back and say, well, it looks pretty good, there is slight inflammation, we will try an antibiotic and then that is it. I have not heard fo the drug you mention, but I wonder if you were doing well, why a new medicine? I started today a drug called entocort. Do you have any diets suggestions, anything! Also, how has the drug done?

Take care, blessings.
