After a long struggle with ulceritive colites my colon was removed 6 month ago and the second operation, reconnection of the bowel, happened almost three month ago. My gallbladder was also removed during the first operation. Now, in spite of taking imodium, I still have quite a number of bathroom visits, about 10-14 every 24 hour period. My biggest concern is the frequent burning sensation after some of the bathroom visits, mostly when the stool is fairly loose. It keeps me from sleeping for hours. I use Kalmoseptyne after every bathroom visit. Does anyone have a suggestion what to do?
