Hi,

I had a colectomy and an ileosomy 7 weeks ago.  I still feel pressure in my lower abdomin, kind of a bloated feeling.  I don't know if that's normal or not.  I also started getting very itchy in the anal area.  I still release white fluid with a little bit of blood. I'm scheduled for my pouchogram on Monday June 26.  If anyone can give me any info on if any of this is normal I really appreciate it. What about the pouchogram procedure is it painful or anything that I should know so I don't get surprised.  Please, please please someone help. My take down is not yet scheduled.  Thank you confused

Your discharge is normal.  Take extra ostomy supplies with you to your pouchogram.  Sometimes the procedure can cause you to spring a leak.  They insert fluid into your new pouch and xray it to ensure there are no leaks.  It is not painful, a bit uncomfortable, but nothing worse than you have already experienced!
