Praise the Lord! I had a very successful colectomy a year ago, but found in the past three months that I gain weight even though I am eating the minimum. My weight used to be 53kg before the operation. I dropped to 46kg after the operation and stabelised at 52kg for a few months before suddenly gaining weight to 57kg. I am a very active sportswoman and eat healthy, sometimes too little due to the weight loss.

Are you also experiencing a sudden weight gain? Is this natural? Should I be worried and where will it stop? If you have experienced something similar and can help, please advise. :-) Thanks

For what reason did you have the surgery?

If you had the surgery due to UC then your weight gain is normal.
