I had a colectomy 7 years ago and have gotten along really well until 4 months ago. My gastro doc has done all (?) the tests to rule out other diseases and says I have IBS. Is it possible to have IBS with 7/8 of my colon removed? I don't have a lot of d or c, my main problem is my stomach hurts and is extremely tender (I can't wear anything around my waist).  Eliminating dairy products has helped a little but I just don't seem to be a typical IBS patient, if there is such a thing. Anyone have any advice?  Thanks so much.
