OK here is my story.

I have had Crohns for 24+ years. Mainly in sigmoid colon and down through rectum.

about 4 years ago they removed sigmoid colon, rectum, and anus. It has been a godsend not having to deal with the power diareaha, excruciating pain, etc..

But now I am having mild to moderate cramping, mild to moderate pain in both LRQ and LLQ.

Not anywhere what is was back before I became a new and improved front exhaust model.

I am wondering if I should be more worried then I am  if this is my crohns could it be more severe then I am thinking it is. Since I don't have the parts that were causing the biting the towel to keep from screaming pain when I was on the pot. Can the reoccurrence be more "mild symptoms" then before? I am getting ready for my yearly follow up with my GI in a few weeks and wondering if I should be more assertive in asking for tests.

If anyone has BTDT and offers your experience I am grateful.

Thanks

AL

Al,  I haven't BTDT, but would strongly suggest you approach your doc with every possible determination to find the cause of your pain.  My APR surgery was from cancer, so I've no experience with your disease.

If the pain is new after 4 years, then something has returned, grown, moved, or changed, and I'd want to know what it was and how it could be fixed.  My first thought, from what you describe, would be adhesions.  Hang in there till you find out what is going on with(in) your body.
