Hello to everyone!!  I'm new to this forum, thanks to a wonderful friend named Jody on a different BB!!  Boy, this is one major topic with a lot of good information posted from so many of you.

I've been thru a host of tests with one left to go, the anal manomitry (spelling?) to be done next week.  I just finished the sitz marker and after 5 days, 22 of the 24 rings were still in the colon.  Prior to this I had the de***ram which revealed a 5/6 cm rectocele.  My GI immediately referred me to a colorectal specialist/surgeon and he's the one who ordered the sitz marker and manomitry.

I've suffered with chronic constipation since the age of 15 months old, I'm now 43.  This forum sure gives one hope when it seems that is all that's left - hope!!  I'm not alone in this journey and thank everyone here for sharing your experiences.  I return to the colorectal specialist/surgeon on 10-09 to go over the findings of my tests and if surgery is one of the options facing me, I have no doubt that I will tell him YES!!!

I look forward to posting more and want to thank everyone for sharing!!  I'm open to any information that anyone want to send my way.

Hey Sober, Good luck on your manometry next week.  It really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, however, I had an exceptional person who made me feel comfortable and explained all that was going to take place.  I go back to the colorectal surgeon on Monday to determine what the future holds.  The manometry was my last test YIPPEE!!  Have you had the sitz marker and de***ram?  If so, what was the outcome of those tests?

GOD BLESS!!  ROBIN
