Hi,

I've had an Ilesotomy + Crohns for nearly a year now, altrhough I am now in remission, and I'm thinking of having kids with my boyfriend. Can anyone whose been pregnant with an ostomy offer some advice, where there any complications?? Should I discuss this with my doctor?

Also, I am currently having tests to see if I can have a reversal so I don't know if I would be better waiting for the reversal to happen (if I can have it)?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Fuzzy

Hi, I had UC and had my colon removed. I was told that it is alot harder to get pregnant if you have the jpouch or reversal. most doctors recommend to have children first. But I am only 20 so i had the jpouch done. but the decision is yours. Good luck
