Hello all,

I have been seeing my surgeon every week since I have been out of the hospital especially due to all of the complications I had.  I am so excited to have this wound vac being disconnected from me tomorrow.  It is an amazing device but having to carry that portable vac gets annoying.  It only weighs about 3 and a half pounds but carrying it around for some time it feels like a lot more as far as weight.  My doctor is also going to look into a smaller drain bag for my abscess drain since I am only getting between 10 and 20 cc out a day now.  I currently have a 1 liter bag since initially they drained about 400 cc from it.
