I had it on Apri 25th. I also had a full reconstruction of my crotch. I am dealing fine with everything but the mental thing. Very down. Don't want to eat because I feel it coming out. Any ideas how to be stronger and not let this thing get to me? I have los 20 lbs and cold in 75 degree weather. I go back to work in 3 weeks and need to be on it. HELP

Jessicapeanut,

Please see your "I don't know where to turn" post, I answered you in there. Please feel free to contact me on here or privately if you want to talk. I'll be running errands this morning but should be back and available in the afternoon. Hang in there.

The mental thign was hard for me to get over, but I was really prepared before hand so it wasn't too bad. But the thing that made me really get over it, was when I went back to the dr for my one week checkup, and I didn't have to worry about where all the bathrooms were, or if we would get stuck in traffic! On the way home, I got some food to eat int he car, something I could have never done before, and then it hit me, this bag might be kind of icky, but it is SO much better than being sick all the time!
I hope you feel better soon, just keep thinking of all the things you CAN do now that you aren't sick anymore!
