I had a good visit with my surgeon today, because she told me that I don't need to come back anymore! I've been seeing her every two weeks for 11 months, ever since my proctocolectomy.

Do you have some good news to share? I'd love to hear about it! :-)

I know how relieved you must feel! Congratulations! My surgeon, who I saw many times, said I didn't have to see her anymore! This is especially festive as I did not like her! For 8 months I went to see her complaining that the anal fissure hurt SO bad no matter what she gave me ... antibiotics for 2 months, botox injected in my rear, nitro paste (whoa. instant headache there) THEN she decided to put me under for an exam. cancer. So not seeing her again was a pleasant 4 month anniversary gift!

With my new found free time and money, I'm going to go out with my hubby for a nice steak dinner instead of hanging out in a paper gown reading People magazine! tongue

That sounds like a good choice to me!  I will have to admit that a good steak dinner (out at a restaurant) is one of my favorite celebratory meals as well.  What's your favorite place to get a good steak?

Which leads me to this question --  does anyone have issues with some of the seasonings (I'm thinking maybe tenderizers) at steakhouses?  Seems as though I really have to watch what cut I order to really enjoy it for more than 45 minutes!
