Do they appear at the most annoying moments for anyone else? I'm exhausted and ready to sleep and they've shown themselves!

How do you guys satisfy that itch if you can't change the bag? I usually press down around the stoma on the wafer. That's my imitation "scratch". LOL

My "itchies" are always directly around the stoma opening.  If I need to postpone the 'change', I also press down on the wafer like you said.  Also I  rinse bag out with cold water and try to get the area around the stoma rinsed too.  Sometimes that is the best relief.  I hate doing the "change" during the most active time so the 'rinse' usually works for me for a little while.

And, yea, you are right -- the itchies always seem to pop up when you least want them too!

Oh Great, now I feel the need to scratch. You can't say the "I" word to people with ostomies! It's like reminding a dog about fleas! ...scratch, scratch, scratch
