Whatever you celebrate or don't celebrate, I hope you have a wonderful season. May your stomas be healthy, and your bags not leak! May all the goodies you indulge in not get stuck or irritate. May you not suffer through the itchies!!! :)

Seriously, you guys have probably saved my life. Or at least saved my chances at having a good one. Someone said in another post that it's great having this board, because even our spouses and closest loved ones just can't offer what we get here. As much as they support and love us, it's great to have the support of people with ostomies. The advice I get here is invaluable. Everyone is nice, helpful, and so willing to share it all.  Who understands all about poop better than us?

So, since I can't send you cards, this is my "Holiday Message" to you all.

Thanks Joann,

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas! This is the best time of the year to reflect on our many blessings. I have so much to be thankful for. Just 5 months ago I was sitting in the ICU with wires and tubes running all over me. I was in there for almost 2 weeks away from my kids, my husband, my puppies, my home, and my life. Now, I am home, teaching aerobics again, waking up every morning hugging my children, and smooching up my hubby when he comes home from work....I have a lot to be grateful for!

Thank you for thinking of my stoma! I sure it/he/she what ever it is (I have not named my stoma) will have a wonderful Christmas Season!

Joann,
Those are very kind words you shared with us. We certainly are fortunate to have the internet, aren't we? I have met so many caring and knowledgeable ppl here and I just want to thank all of you for "opening" my eyes and guiding me through my trials too. I sure hope we all have a safe and healthy holiday season. And, happy Eating!!! I think I have done my share and someone else's too this week!
Blessings,
Peggy

Joann,
Happy Holidays to you, too! I'm also very thankful for all of the wonderful people I've met here.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas or Hanukkah and pray that it is a joyful and peaceful time with family and friends.
