LOL. I want to go to the Doctor's without being cut. I went to the dermatologist today about my sore by my stoma. She seemed to think it wasn't pyoderma, as it lacks the uneven purple border characteristic of it. So far, they think it's just a recurring ulcer. Boo. So anyway, they took a biopsy of the area, and as a result I now have a sore, AND three stitches under my wafer. Really, it's no big deal, but sometimes I just get tired of being poked open, then sewn back up. eyes   Now I wonder how long my wafer is gonna last this time. I hope at least four days, but lately it's been two if I'm lucky. I HATE this sore!!!!

Did they cut you to do a biopsy of the sore?   Did she give you any meds, topical or oral to put on it?

I understand about being poked and prodded and cut and sewn.... but hang in there.  Sounds like you went to someone that is willing to figure out exactly what the sore is.

Yup, they just took a little piece of meat out from the sore. They gave me a shot to numb the area. It wasn't painful, just annoying and now the stitches are itchy under the wafer.

If they thinks it's just ulcerated skin, did they give you any type of treatment for it???

They said to just cover it with a small piece of dressing. But right now, they said
to wait and see what the biopsy says.
