I’ve seen recently where new members are trying to locate our members who have a similar report/diagnosis/recovery…

At 1 yr, ED treated with 100mg Viagra Often -  5 Year Colonoscopy 19FEB08:  Clear!

Diagnosed Dec 2007 during annual routine physical
PSA doubled from previous year from 1.5 to 3.2
12 biopsies - 2 positive with 2 marginal
Gleason 3 + 3 = 6
RRP 4 Feb 08
Both nerves spared
Good pathology - no margins - all encapsulated - Gleason 4 + 3 = 7
Catheter out Feb 13 - wore pad for couple of days - pad free Feb 16
Great wife and family who take very good care of me

RRP 12/7/06. Nerves and nodes okay.
Catheter out on 12/13/06.  Dry on 12/14/06.
Pathological stage: T2C N0 MX. Gleason 3+4.
PSAs from  1/3/07 - 1/17/08 0.00. 
Next PSA test on 7/17/08

Age 45 (44 when Dx)
Pre-op PSA was 19.8
Surgery on Feb 16, 2007
Post-Op Pathology: Gleason 4+3=7, positive margins, Stage pT3b (Stage III)
HT began in May, '07 with Lupron and Casodex 50mg
IMRT radiation for 38 Treatments ending August 3, '07
Current PSA (1/08): <0.1
I will continue HT until May '09. 
Years in Remission (3/23/07): 1

DRE normal, PSA 3.1
08/28/07: Diagnosed cancer, T1c, Gleason 3+3=6
02/27/08: Laparoscopic Rad. prostectomy @ Anaheim Kaiser, 4 hrs.
              Both nerve bundles spared
              Pathology Report: Tumor confined w/in prostate
              T2c, Gleason is 3+3=6
              Surgical margin: Focally involved by tumor in right apex
03/10/08: Catheter removed. Drip, drip, drip, drip...
04/07/08: 1st PSA <.01 :)
              Dripping starts to slow down :)
              ED: Started Levitra, no response yet.

 biopsy report gleason 3+4=7, right lobe only
psa 4.7  (psa rose 1 point per year for 3 years, urologist said still under 4 and no concern.  If I can find out about PSA velocity, why didn't he know!)
Told not to have surgery at Dana Farber as cancer had already penetrated prostate, in seminal vesicles, would have positive margins. Would only treat with radiation and HT

negative seminal vesicles, multifocal perineural invasion, both lobes involved
40% gland involved

07/2007: Diagnosed cancer, T2c, Gleason 3+4=7
09/2007: Laparoscopic prostectomy @ Hamilton General, 4 hrs.
              Both nerve bundles spared
              Pathology Report: Tumor confined w/in prostate
              T2c, Gleason is 3+3=6
              Went home with JP drain
10/2007: Made return trip to hospital.  All urine was comming out JP drain.
10/2007: Catheter removed. Next to no leakage
11/2007: 1st PSA <.003 :)
              ED: Started Viagra, no response yet.
12/2007: Had confidence to go padless!!!!!
12/2007: ED:  Stopped Viagra as it's causing hemroid problems.
01/2007: 2nd PSA <.003 :)
              ED: next to no response.

Age: 63
Diagnosed: 10/30/06
PSA: 3.7 (2005: 3.4, 2004: 4.0)
Biopsy: 1/10 cancerous, 5% of one core, right apex.
Gleason: 3+3=6
Da Vinci: April 10, 2007, Denver CO
Path results: 1% of prostate involved. Very small tumors on both right and left apex. Negative margins, negative seminal vessicles, lymph nodes left intact. Gleason upgraded 3+4=7.
Three PSA's since surgery: <.01
Continence:  Stress incontinece through first 6-7 weeks.   Complete continence after about 7 week mark.
Erectile Function:  Long road.  Used Viagra and Cialis shortly after surgery. Added in pump. Then trimix injections at about 10 weeks.  Kind of hit and miss.  Finally starting to restore itself at one-year mark after surgery.

PSA (2002) 2.1.  PSA (2006) 3.5.  1 x (5%) core of 12 positive at biopsy. 11 cores negative. Open Radical Prostatectomy with nerve sparing, on 17th April 2007 (Sydney, Australia).
Gleeson 3 + 4 = 7.  Cancer confined. 1st PSA 0.01 (June 07) 2nd PSA 0.02 (Oct 07) undetectable. 3rd PSA 0.02 (April 08) undetectable.

I'm a newby.  I'll try:

Age: 50 (March 2008)

DX 1/08 @ 49 yo

7/05: PSA 2.6 DRE Normal

9/07: PSA 3.4 DRE Normal

1/08: Biopsy 1 of 12 cores with 10% involvement, T1c, Gleason 3+3=6

4/08/08:  Laparoscopic Rad. prostectomy @ Banner Thunderbird, 5 hrs.

                Advised both nerve bundles spared

                Post Op Pathology Report: Tumor confined w/in prostate, pT2c, NX, DX 

    Gleason is 3+3=6, bilateral with 15% total involvement near apex

                Margins and Seminal Vesicles negative!!!

4/18/08:  Staples and Catheter removed. Drip, drip, drip, drip...

2007 - 5.8 on 2/5, 5.7 on 6/16
2008 - 10.4 on 2/29, 8.8 on 4/21 --- Scheduled biopsy for 5/6/2008. On a graph, the PSA rise looks exponential, i.e. a growth function.

Had 3 Prostate needle Biopsies done in the last 8 years all negative.  
Last Biopsy done on July 6th, 07 Positive in one sample.
March 2007 PSA 10
May 2007 PSA 12.1
Pre-surgery Gleason grade 3+3=6
Sept 4, 2007- Robotic Laparscopic prostatectomy Surgery Nerve-sparing right side, took half of the left side, 
                    took Seminal vesicles, and vas deferens, bilateral, and 
                    Lymph nodes left side, pelvic. NO Malignancy found out side of
                    the Prostate.
Post Surgery, Pathologic Stage: pT2(m) NO Mx
                   Gleason score: 4+4=8
                   Tumor volume: approximately 35%
 Oct 19, 2007 - Catheter removed after 45 days
 Oct 31, 2007 - Start Pelvic Floor Muscle Rehab, once a week for 6 to 12 weeks for incontinence.
 Dec 18, 2007 - 1st Post op PSA  0.0 (undetectable)
 March 20, 2008 - 2nd Post op PSA Less than 0.04 (undetectable)

Bob (62) - Laproscopic Prostate Removal Sept 27, 2006 at age 60.
2 of 12 malignant biopsy samples - gleason 3 + 3 = 6.
Pathology - Gleeson 3 + 4; stage T2; cancer completely contained, even a second more aggressive, previously undetected cancer) PSA UNDETECTABLE Nov 2006; Feb, May, Oct 2007; May 2008.  WHOOO HOOOO! 
Bob also has two secondary conditions -- Polycythemia (elevated red & white cells & platelets) and . . Myelofibrosis) -- If anyone has experience with or information on these, please email us.

Aged 59 when diagnosed
Biopsy 6/07----4 of 10 cores positive for Adenocarcinoma-------bummer!
Core 1 <5%, core 2----50%, core 3----60%, core 4----50%
Biopsy Pathologist's comment:
Gleason 4+3=7 (80% grade 4) Stage T2c
Neither extracapsular nor perineural invasion is identified
CT scan and Bone scan show no evidence of metastases
Da Vinci RP Aug 10th 2007
Post-op pathology:
Positive for perineural invasion and 1 small focal extension
Negative at surgical margins, negative node and negative vesicle involvement
Some 4+4=8 identified ........upgraded to Gleason 8
PSA Oct 07 <0.1 undetectable
PSA Jan 08 <0.1 undetectable
PSA April 08 <0.1 undetectable
