I recently began using bimix...still trying to find a good dosage for me.  Will try either 0.25ml or 0.3ml next time, which will be today or tomorrow.  Will experiment with some pre-stimulation, a la the techniques used by biker90 and JamesC and see what if any impact that has.  So far I have achieved 80% erections and desire as close to 100% as possible.

Have read here very recently that some who have "good" erections with bimix say that their trimix erections are much better.

Since I have yet to find a good dosage level for me, I am a little bit concerned that I might not obtain a really good erection with bimix.  I figure if I am going to go through the aggravation of injecting myself, I should at least get a "very good" outcome....lol.

Am I overly concerned here?  Do most who use bimix only get so-so erections?  I realize that some experience aching from the alprostadil in trimix.....but if the aching were minor....as it might be with a lower concentration of alprostadil, would the erection be that much better than one produced by bimix?

my aching with trimix was not minimal. i could suffer through it, and actually kind of thought it was somewhat a leftover from the whole injecting process (same with prostaglandin).

when i first tried bimix, i was amazed that there was no pain. i can't see going back to the others if there was any pain involved. my bimix erections have been quite good, once i found the dosage that seemed to give me a good erection for a good amount of time.

Bob, I can't see the need for you to switch to Trimix until you have exhausted all the steps to finding the right dose of Bimix that will work for you.  Keep your sight on one prize, that of using the Bimix to the best advantage.  After 10 to 12 attempts to find the optimum results, then you might start considering Trimix.  The way your results have been improving each time, I expect you to get the results you desire in the next 3 tries.  Probably at the .4ml or .5ml.  .5ml seems to be the "standard" dose for us early post surgery guys, from what I see here.  If .4ml give good results, then .45ml or .5ml will get you that ideal rock hard, hang a towel result...lol

Thanks, JamesC.

Rock hard, hang a towel results are what I seek!!!

Had a downer experience today.  Used the most I have used so far, 0.3ml, and had the worst results.  Had much better results at 0.2ml.

However, I think I hit a vein because I noticed redness and some temporary swelling of a blood vessel, so maybe that screwed things up some.

Have had difficulty hitting the right spot a couple of times now....not getting into the cavernous area properly...can tell because there is resistance when I push the plunger to inject the medication.  Both times that happened my erection was less than the times when the plunger depressed easiy....some of the meds are probably not reaching the target area when the resistance is encountered.

Might try a 1/2 inch needle next time.  The autoinjector does not insert the needles all the way...maybe 1/8 or 1/16 inch less than the actual needle length, so that might also be contributing to my inconsistent results.

I think I will try 1/2 inch needle but use a 1/4 inch spacer.  Result should be close to same as if I injected 5/16 manually.

I have had great success with 0.3 ml of bimix, in fact, I reduced it to o.25 last time due to an ER visit (ouch). I have no problems whatsoever with this dosage, erection last about an hour with stimulation, less without. Good Luck, this is one beast of a disease, we have to fight it with all we have!!!
