I'm wondering if there are any other retired military here that have had to deal with Tricare and prescribed ED drugs. My urologist prescribed Levitra 6 weeks after surgery and going to get the prescription filled, I learned that since I'm under age 50, Tricare won't pay for them without jumping thru several flaming hoops, and once they approve the prescription, they only pay for 6 pills a month. More than that I have to cover out of pocket at $12 a pill.

I'm looking for someone who has had the same experience and may have found a way to get Tricare to spring for a larger amount. Regardless, even if I have to pay out of pocket, I'll still get the prescription filled.

Hi Gunner,

I’m 55 now but before I had IMRT I was on MUSE for 5 yrs and was able to get what ever amount the doctor ordered. The trick is to contact member relations or if you have a case manager use that person to do your leg work. I’m using USFHP here in Mass which is the same as TriCare Prime. If you don’t have a case manager get one, mine has been a God sin.

Thank You for the info, I'm retired USAF also. Funny how in my dealings with Tricare that they have never volunteered any of that information. I have an appt with my Primary Care MD next week on base, I think I'll talk to him also, getting the meds at the base pharmacy would be the best option as far as I can see.

Hi

I just bought the generic from ADC real cheap. $2.08 per tab for 30 tabs. $62.40 for 30 tabs BUT they have a double pill offer so you get 60 for $62.40. Works out to $1.04 a tab.

Thats ... alldaychemist
comes from India.
