Hi...New`here...Had a keyhole, nerve sparing prostatectomy in Dec 08....Incontinence went away after 2 months...Had Cialis low dose/once a day for seven months. to keep blood flowing ...Found that highest dose Levitra worked best, with least side effects for ED.I also use rubber penis rings both on the shaft and behind the scrotum..Erections are usable but are short-lived and require a lot of stimulation, both physical and mental..Orgasm is variable from nothing much to reasonable. Some are better than before.. Quality of orgasm depends on how I have been looking after myself  ..Use a pump most days, for exercise of the penis...I did not take the injection path as I have a fear of needles...My question relates to penis length..In the flaccid state my penis is half the size it was..sort of pulled in..Erection length is shorter also..maybe 20 % less...Is anyone aware of effective treatments for my stumpy flaccid member.....I have found that the pump has stretched my skin around the glans, but has not provided any length..My urologist tells me to go away when I bring it up......Thanks Jack

I would try a high quality VED and get into a routine of 10 to 15 minutes a day active use. The VED's at the sex shops or online are not the best help for getting your length back. I developed Peyronies Disease after using Trimix so now I'm on the PD Forum besides this one.

Many of the men on the PD Forum use a Three Tube VED and a 26 week Protocol developed by a Urology Clinic in Birmingham, AL. The Three Tube VED has three tubes of different sizes that fit inside each other, you start with the smallest diameter and move up to a larger one as your body recovers. There are both manual and battery powered models.

After using one for about 6 weeks, I can definitely tell a difference in that my scar tissue has stopped growing and I am regaining some length back. The VED that I'm using will cost about $225.

I can give you the name/model of the brand if you are interested
Age 60, PSA 2007 4.1, PSA 2008 10.0
Diagnosed April 2008, Biopsy: 6 of 12 cores positive, Gleason 4 + 5 = 9

PSA Sept 28, 2008 0.00, PSA Jan 22, 2009 0.00, PSA June 29, 2009 0.00
ED Status- Currently using Trimix, Levitra daily for increased blood flow.
Noctural Erections have completely returned on a nightly basis, same hardness as before.

I've got the Augusta Medical Systems, Response II Here is the link:
http://www.augustams.com/ Click on the soma therapy-ED link. There is a drawing of its use, so do check in private and not on the company computer.
It cost something like $400- 450 but Insurance paid for all but $80.
Hey Jacknoon, I'm sorry pal, if you had anything visible, you had more than me. Mine looked like a second navel after the surgery. I thought I'd gotten a pen*sectomy instead of a protatectomy.
Now that the swelling is down I've at least got something to aim but I won't be scaring any women with it.
The Augusta comes with two inserts that fit into the tube to give you three diameters. I've named them P, A , and W. I start off with the P (pathetic) insert, and after about 2 minutes go to the A (adequate) insert. Never used the W (wishful thinking) size as it is big enough to engorge my left leg.
DX Age 56. First routine PSA test on April 8th: 17.8.
May PSA: 22.6, 3 weeks later: PSA: 23.2.
Biopsy 6/10/09: 7/12 scores positive, Gleason 6=3+3. Bone scan and C/T scan negative.

RP DaVinci -7/21/2009 @ Univ of Roch Medical Center
Left nerve gone, right partial spared.
Catheter removed - 7/31/2009 Pathology report received:
Gleason 3+4=7 Tumor size: 2.5 x 1.8 cm location: both lobes and apex. No Malignancy in Seminal Vesicle, vasa deferentia, lymph nodes 0/13
Extraprostatic extension present; Perineural invasion: present, extensive
Prostate mass 56 grams. Pathologic Stage: pT3aN0MX
----------------------------------------------
Post Surgery Status:
Potency - 9/17 2 months, Still no activity
Incontinence - 8/20 4 full pads per day
. 9/7 3-4 full pads per day (I'm going to try cutting down on fluids. Bad idea. I know.)
9/17 2 months: Still 3 pads per day. At this rate I'll be fine in 2011.
Post Surgery PSA - 9/3 6 weeks - 0.05

  Hey Jack:

Would you kindly advise the site for this PD forum. When I Google Peyronies Disease Forum I get all kinds of strange referrals.

63 years old-tumor discovered on digital exam- biopsy December 2008-
4 of 12 samples positive-all on right side
Gleason 3+3=6
PSA-3
Otherwise excellent health.
Brachytherapy- May 19, 2009 -so far, so good.

Here is the link to the best of the sites that I have found that are for Peyronies Disease patients. You are correct in that there are all sorts of questionable web sites out there for PD. This forum is very similar to HealingWell but dedicated solely to PD. If you look up the VED posts, you will find a discussion of the 26 week protocol and a link to a company that sells the Augusta Medical VED for $225.

Hi Jack,
The only thing that will get it back to normal lenght is regular rock hard erections either natural or
by other means. 18 months post nerve sparing mine is back to normal. It is a little bit of a shock right
after surgery to see it shrink so much. I am fortunate to have regained my natural erections and lenght.
It takes a while to recover from the trauma and surgical cutting but it can return to normal. Best of luck to you.

    1. Age 59, psa 4.7 in Jan. 08. Biopsy: one positive sample out of 13. 1% of one sample cancer. Prostate removed on 3/5/08. Open Surgery. Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville Ga. Nerves spared. Cath out 12 days later. Continence good. No pads needed since 6/10/08. First PSA: Less than 0.1 on 6/17/08. First erection five days post op and have been improving well since then. Full erection now possible (less than four months post op) with the assistance of Cialis.  Post Op Biopsy : No malignant cells in lymph node. Gleason 3=4=7. Tumor on both lobes. Urethral margins/apex free of neoplasia. Right and left seminal vesicles free of neoplasia. No invasion of prostatic capsule of the resection margins are noted by the tumor. Tumor occupies 10 to15% of the prostate gland. Path staging T2c, NO, MX- Group staging II.  Focal areas of perineural invasion by tumor are noted. 80% natural erections and full erections with 10mg Cialis. 9/22/08-Took 10mg Cialis on Monday night, had very usable full hard erection at night, the next morning, and the following Thursday morning, 60 hours after original dose !! Orgasm quality Excellent.!!!!! I am pleased with the progress so far. Married to same wonderful woman for 39 years. She is still beautiful and sexy as ever. A great help in my recovery !!: 3/12/09: Full natural erections with penetration. 10mg Cialis makes them easier to maintain but I have had several med free full erections lately, Yipieeee !!!!!!!  3/24/09: One year PSA <0.1.  3/28 & 3/29: had sex with full naturals with no meds. Erections are gained and maintained with very little manipulation. Getting more like pre op every day. 5/30/09, I take only 5mg Cialis every 2 or 3 days. This greatly assists my full naturals and provides great staying power and no manipulation required and allows sex anytime !! Lenght and girth are back to pre op size due to regular "workouts".
