We need some help here ! My uro started me on Bimix a couple of weeks ago. And so far, I have only taken 3 injections. But each time, there is considerable penile pain after the medication starts working, and an functional erection is achieved. The pain is associated with any degree of pressure against the erect penis, and makes it extremely uncomfortable to perform intercouse. I seem to recall that someone on this forum had mentioned that it took a few injections for this problem to resolve. Just wondering if any of you guys have experienced this type of occurance, and in time did it finally resolve after multiple injections over a period of time. It's nice to be "back in the saddle" ... so to speak, but not so nice to have that much pain associated with it. I am 6 months post robotic radical prostatectomy, so I am aware that it is early to expect spontaneous erections. And, I do use the VED daily, along with a nightly Cialis (10mg), with a booster dose on Saturday nights of 20 mg. Without the injections, I have had no erections at all, either daytime or nocturnally. So.... anyone out there can help us, we would greatly appreciate it.

Many here have reported muscle pain with Cialis usage. With you using double the dosage I suspect you should 1st look at reducing or eliminating Cialis. It has little or no bearing on the Bimix success and may be a big contributor to your pain issues
Max daily dosage is 5mg, the 20mg is designed to last 3 days
Sounds like you are taking 10mg x 6 days then 20mg on 1 day for a weekly total of 80mg
Recommended would be 5mg x 4 days then the 20mg to cover the last 3 days , weekly total is 40mg
Taking more is not going to heal you faster

I agree with dropping the Cialis -- Bimix will work perfectly well without it. I have never had the pain you describe, but also have never taken any ED pills at the same time as the injection. I did use the VED though on days I wasn't injecting.
Another thing to try is to reduce the Bimix dose. You will reach a point where the erection becomes not sufficient for intercourse. The correct dose (for you, we're all different) is just a little beyond that point.
In my early testing, I found that 0.1ml was not enough while 0.2ml and beyond was quite satisfactory. So I settled on 0.2 as my standard dose. But due to measurement inaccuracies I later sometimes went as low as .13 and that still worked well.
Other things you might try to improve your consistency with lower doses is to use some constriction at the time of injection and also some pre-plumping -- both techniques discussed here in other threads.
Age 63 at diagnosis, now 64.
No symptoms; PSA 5.7; Gleason 4+5=9; cancer in 4 of 12 cores.
Non-nerve sparing RRP on 7 March 2008.
Two nights in hospital; catheter out after 7 days.
Continent; no pads needed from the get-go.
Pathology showed organ confined and negative margins. Gleason downgraded to 4+4=8.
6-week : <0.05
13-month: 0.07 (start of a trend?)
19-month: 0.09 (maybe)
After a learning curve, Bimix injections (0.2ml) worked well. From 14 months, occasional nocturnal erections. Have "graduated" to just the pump.
