Trimix -refrigerate or freeze

My pharmacist said that my Trimix should be stored in the freezer. This is the first time that I have heard this. For those using Trimix, what say you?

Hey..the internet give you a ton of information from multiple sources....happy to stay goofy. thx.

Redman AKA Guffy:) I have heard of others freezing their dose in the seringe then thaw it out and inject. But I don;t know that for a fact. My Caverject is in the firdge till I need it. Have you had your first injection? How did it go. I am new to the needle myself and very happy with caverject.

Mine is kept well chilled in the refrig. There are some here who will draw up a few syringes and freeze for use later.

My 5ml of Trimix lasts 5-6 weeks so there is no need for me to freeze the vial, It stays good for 90 days refrigerated. I did speak to a patient once who said he filled syringes and froze them, I have never tried that though

I did ask my Dr about taking an oral med with the Trimix, and he said it defeats the purpose. The oral ED drug cost more than the decrease in Trimix dosage. As for performance, the oral ED drug increases blood flow to the penis which actually aids in flushing out the Trimix. In effect they cancel each other out

Not sure why one would freeze the vial itself, how would you fill the syringe if the medication were frozen ?

My levity for the day

I use bimix, and if there is some left, I tend to use it past the 90 days expiration date (up to about a month or so). According to my pharmacist, if you keep it refrigerated continuously, you'll get longer than the 90 days -- where you have troubles is if you travel and allow it to warm up part of the time.
I never considered freezing it... I started purchasing 1/2 the amount (5 mils instead of 10) because I was wasting the larger dosage. I end up paying 50% more for the half dose (relatively speaking), but it is a better deal for me. The pharmacy agreed to supplying the smaller dosage, without needing to consult with my doc - that may be an option for you.

My Trimix came in a little 5 ml glass bottle. I would never freeze something stored in glass. I'd be afraid of breakage.
Mine is stored in the refrigerator. Ready for use.

Thanks guys. I have frozen mine and it thaws in about 10 minutes tops. I have gone through two zaps, first at .1 ml and then .17 ml. I'm still not all the way there yet. I would be curious as to what have been effective dosages per trimix. Thx in advance.

Trying Trimix

Welll we are all different and that's probably the advantage of this forum - to share our experience, strength and hope.

I've used Trimix for 2 1/2 years. It took lots of experimenting to get to what works for me. I take 50 mg Viagra (from ADC) and about 30 min later inject .05 ml Trimix. It stays up for an hour or so with no aches or pains. Using Viagra allows me to use a very small amount of Trimix and when it comes to injecting stuff into my tender part, I feel that less is better.

Using such a small amount of Trimix, my 5 ml vial lasts a long time. My current vial is nearly 18 months old now and is still potent with no sign of contamination.

Biker...awesome post thx. I'll give the viag a shot on the next pass. With .1ml I got to maybe 50% and .17 ml I got to about 80%. It's only been 12 weeks since surgery so I have a long highway of patience to drive! Sort of like golf...fade, hook, and then maybe one goes down the middle. Thx again.

if you get to 80% on Trimix, you are there, foreplay gets it the rest of the way, give it a try

12 weeks, is right out of the starting blocks, time will get you back to before PC. Problem is that performance on Trimix is so good, I may want to keep on it for a while and enjoy the ride , even after I get complete normal non-medicated erections back

Redman55, Just for you info my coverject is not pre-measured. It is in a glass vial just like tri-mix. I have to measure it out in the suringe. In the office the firs injection was .25 and I was solid flor 1 hr. I have continued at that dose and same results. YAHOO!!!!! A good time was had by all.

To everyone reading this:

I am still confused on the issue of taking a PDE5 oral medication prior to injecting. I am injecting a Bimix, and I am sure that my Uro Doc said to take the Cialis 30-60 minutes before injecting. But, have stated that, I will tell you all that I still have considerable genital ache that begins about 15 minutes after injecting, and does not resolve for about 2-3 hrs, even after the erection has resolved spontaneously.

So, let us open up the discussion again about this subject. Have ED docs, or Urologist told others to refrain from using oral medications in conjunction with injectables??

My recent  refill of Trimix stated all over the place-> DO NOT FREEZE.

After my Trimix fiasco, detailed in an other post, my Uro told me to wait a couple of weeks for the cialis to clear out of my system before trying again. I had been taking 5mg daily.

Hi Clearwatercowboy,

My ED doc told me there was no need taking an oral ED drug with Trimix, it defeats the purpose. One wants the Trimix to stay in the penis as long as possible, increasing blood flow via PDE5 drugs increases blood flow thus flushing out the Trimix faster

Waste of money taking both

Hi: I am kind on my own (now I feel better with all these reading). I am still battling for the right way of using TRIMIX and the right dosage. My question is: Should I shoot my dosage of TRIMIX still cool or should I let it warm and for how long?
