Thanks to Amazon, getting a good start. First book up was

The Definitive Guide To Prostate Cancer 2 Stars (barely)
1. Very basic
2. Did a decent job of PSA and overview of treatment alternatives but very basic
3. Did a fair job of explaining the medical mind set
4. Obvious bias to cryotherapy (obvious reasons)
5.Excellent job of integrating diet and herbal medicine. IMHO best written part of the book

My conclusion: informative but for someone like me searching for a difficult answer on treatment, way too sketchy. Found very little I had not already seen online for free. Definitive: NO

Marine,
Well Walt, you've probably read the worst book that you have ordered relating to your case; perhaps it's time to "chill out" with a good novel from James Lee Burke while having a cold beer. I wonder what food group that falls into?
Seriously: I wish you the best with your scans and I do have a comment regarding the ct conducted by UW in Madison, Wi. Although 3 physicians signed off on it, there was no reference to my ece. The surgeon and female visiting nurses merely touched my rock hard prostate. My 6'4" RO with long fingers gave me a vigorous dre and discovered my ece when his finger wouldn't go past a particular spot. It might not be a bad idea to have an experienced physician who is also a retired basketball player give you a dre--Just sayin!

Earlier today, UPS delivered Strum's book which I can already see is head and shoulders above Katz. Finishing the latest Tom Clancy book, beer and maybe even whiskey are in order yeah
