Hello.

Just recently I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and found this site.

The reason I am here is because last year my 11 yr old DD was diagnosed with celiac. And it has been very tough for her. I have been researching and reading through the internet and now this forum. The day we found out I went all crazy and got everthing new pots, spoons, toaster..... and hardly eat out.

There is one question I have that I can't seem to find an answer for (more of a curiosity).

Everyday I ask her how she is feeling give me a range from 1-10 and she always says 4-5. She also says that she is use to it. They did tell me that it will take time to heal but how long? As a more I cannot bare watching her in pain.

Is there relief or will she always have this pain? I don't want the pain to cause emotional mental issues.

I just don't want her to be going through this as i can understand what its like to be in pain all the time.

confused

Hello I am Tired of being Tired,

I've diagnosed myself with celiac disease, since I had typical symptoms. I feel a lot better. There are a lot of foods that don't contain gluten and going gluten free is not difficult at all. I eat SCD coconut bread for breakfast and for meal I eat rice and curry. It would take 1 year on SCD. It may take a little longer on the normal diet. Hope she feels well soon.
25 year old male living alone in a foreign country and diagnosed with CD, GERD, gastritis, chronic anal fissure, anemia on 29.09.2013.

Medication: Pantoprazole 20mg 1-0-0, Mesalamine 1.5g - 1-0-1 1-0-0, Budesonide 9mg 1-0-0, FERRO SANOL duodenal 100mg - 1-1-1

Hi. You didn't say what pain or how she acts with this pain? I know the diet takes time if the person has had it a long time. Up to a year or more for healing. Is she sensitive to other foods maybe? Is there depression from it. There may be other factors. I will be praying for her. I was recently diagnosed with celiac as my daughter and sister. God bless.

I'm still undiagnosed but it's been 3 months with little improvement. ... I had seen a medical journal online last week of a 9 year old girl who didn't see improvements until around 10 till 12 months

*****key **** is testing ,,, you have to test to to know what is fully going on... could be celiac could be colitis or crohns or you may have several of them.

as well diet... You should think about probiotics as well.

2 years ago my stomach failed... pain ulcers, acid , then my rear (the caboose) fistula etc... a royal nightmare...
I had all the tests...celiac etc -- no answer
I ended up having ulcer colitis in the top end... and CROHNS antibodies in my blood.
inflammation in the rear / surgery abscess then fistula.

I seem to repeat my self alot in several posts and dont want to make others mad.. you can look up some of my posts I explain my story and case

In the end I found I carried many genes for GLUTEN (genetic test)
I had antibodies for AMCA= candida yeast and ALCA= sugars

until I fixed that part , I could not heal... I found candida yeast proteins can look like gluten proteins to the body when your immune system is a mess.

I worked on killing /lowering yeast , when I did my bacteria levels started to go back up from the probiotics
key was resting and healing my gut from SUGARS/candida FOOD and GLUTEN-- they took me down---my lining .
Using first the SCD diet then switching to PALEO/ low sugar it helped me

today im alot better.... i feel im perfect now... but i still eat PALEO/ LOW sugar
it took me over 2 months to feel better gluten free..... then about 6 to 7 months to heal the gut before some of the SCD diet foods that are easier to digest - didnt bug me.. after I realized the yeast
i moved to paleo low sugar...

Like USHER said there other options LIKE coconut flour breead, or ALMOND flour bread

It was another 6 months to control the yeast and bacteria (fixing the imbalances) before everything went back to normal for me... That was my case

KEY is finding the foods that work for you and testing to know what your dealing with
theres many more advanced test that you can jump to at a higher level.. but you have to start at the bottom
