Greetings,

I was wondering if a test exists to determine gluten sensitivity in an individual? I am not referring to Celiac Disease, since I have had a blood test for that and it turned out negative.

Is there any test to see if one is sensitive to gluten?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Spage. I am a new member, just introduced myself in the Chronic Pain forum.

I don't believe there is any test for gluten sensitivity. The only 'test' is to try excluding all gluten for a period of time, not sure how long/2 weeks maybe?, and see if you feel better.

I had digestive issue for a long time, and last Jan 2014, my doctor suggested that I give up all grains (so no gluten) and all sugar.

She suggested this for several reasons, and I must say, I felt much better within just a few days. It's been 1 1/2 years and I have not looked back once.
