i have read a few articles which say that Spinach contains goitrogens, naturally-occurring substances in certain foods that can interfere with the functioning of the thyroid gland. Spinach helps my other condition but scared to eat it after reading this. Has anyone experienced any problem with thyroid level after eating spinach?

I've heard of it. It's written in "Thyroid for Dummies", I have a copy. It's states high amounts of Spinach, like everyday three meals a day, can affect your thyroid.

Thanks for that clarification, Joy. I have anemia & my PCP told me to add more spinach to my diet. It certainly seems to give me more energy -- though I'm definitely not eating it 3x/day. ;) lol
