I wouldn't suggest it. The negative effects of smoking outweigh the benefits. Some do find relief from smoking. I'm a smoker, but it does not help my UC.

This has been discussed several times at length. Rather than starting new threads, why not search for previous discussions, read them and then add your thoughts?

I think you made a good choice. =) It's very hard to quit after you become addicted.

I smoke too and smoking is bad for you (what isn't right) but I don't think it's wise for anyone to start smoking in the hopes that is will help their UC because there is no guarantee and if it doesn't help then not only do you still have to tend to UC but you also have a smoking addiction to deal with.

Besides, smoking for a few days might not be long enough for the effect of it "possibly" helping your UC but it's likely long enough to get addicted.

:)

My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it!  LOL  :)
