Hi, I have ulcerative colitis and am lactose intolerant. Has anyone tried this product called LACTAGEN.. it claims to make you lactose tolerant again.
UC diagnosed 2003 after birth of first child
ASACOL, VSL #3DS and Remicade Infusions started April 2008 after flare.
Had two major flares requiring hospitalization: Aug. 2005, April 2008.
Left sided UC. Currently in remission

I also have an IBD (crohn's colitis) and I too became lactose intolerant and I used Lactaid pills until I started taking a good probiotic (which aids with my CD, IBS and lactose issues), infact it completely stopped my lactose intolerance, I take one everyday and it's much easier then taking lactaid pills throughout the day and always having to remember to do so before ingesting lactose...it's called primadophilus reuteri made by natures way and it also aids with high cholesterol and for women, vaginal health.

Much cheaper than relying on lactaid products and it aids with the other things I mentioned above so it's well worth it.

:)
My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it! LOL :)
