Okay I was reading in another post ( i forget which one ) where someone mentioned oil pulling?   I looked this up.  Who has had results with this?  And does it half to be oil?  From what I read, its basically just clensing the mouth of bacteria so it doesn't get into your digestive system?  And if that is the case, wouldn't plain ole listerine used the same way work just as well as oil?  Any thoughts from those of you who have tried this or researched this?

What bacteria in your mouth do you think needs to be improved? You could simply empty a probiotic and swish it in your mouth.

not sure but I have always heard that the human bite is the worst bite due to the bacteria....? Dog bites are supposedly safer than a bite from another human. This was just something mentioned on here and I kinda wanted more info and clarification.

I have had results. I oil pull with sunflower oil daily. I should do it 3 x daily, working up to it. But. Huge chunks of plaque came off my teeth, and my gum pockets are filling, and it gets rid of bacteria in your body. My teeth are now pearly white due to oil pulling. No plaque aka bacteria. But here is the deal. when I brush after oil pulling, I get brown stuff in the sink. If I brush without oil pulling, the sink is just full of white stuff. Oil pulling gets out the bacteria! www.oilpulling.com It cures a lot of stuff! and do check the coconutoildiet.com Just for fun. That coconut oil is a good thing also.

Well, I actually drink a tsp of extra virgine olive oil every single night before bed, I pretty much cook with it everyday too...it's not the same method as oilpulling but if you google extra virgine olive oil you'll see the amazing health benefits it has...I also use it (a differnt bottle of course) as a body moisturizer everyday and it does wonders for my skin too.

I saw it too and I went to the website and read about it. Doesn't sound like something I could stomach. I do cook with EVO and I use coconut oil in smoothies sometimes but I haven't noticed any improvement from using coconut oil.

Olive oil is also wonderful for dry, lusterless hair. As for the "toxins" in my blood, that's what my liver and kidneys are there for - to filter them out and excrete them.

But the basic idea behind oil pullling...... wouldn't a normal rinse of listerine work as well????

I don't think so unclebubba, listerine has alcohol and tons of other junk in it, it can even actually make bad breath worse or cause bad breath because the alcohol dries out the membranes in the mouth.
