Does anyone else get violent explosive diarrhea from eating at Chipotle?

It's gotten to the point where I refer to it as "Chipotle poisoning." ****

I also find it funny that the place is supposed to be so fresh etc... and it always gives me gassy diarrhea within 1 day of eating it!

Actually, I do fine with Chipotle. I usually get a Chicken bowl with only rice, chicken, sour cream and maybe a little cheese. I order guac on the side so I can just put little smears on my fork. I'm pretty sure the beans wouldn't agree with me. I have been SUPER gassy just with my flora being all messed up. Do you get the beans?

Do they put lettuce on their food? That would be the culprit with me. Ask for no lettuce next time.
I can even eat taco bell, without the lettuce.

They do have them in some places in Michigan. There are a couple in Lansing where I used to live.

We just got one in Buffalo

You should watch the south park episode about Chipotle. It caused everyone who ate there to get explosive bloody D.

Of course it made me laugh really hard because at the time I was flaring.

Let's just say - and I am not making this up- that if you search youtube you can find a spoof of a Billy Mays (may he RIP) type infomercial for getting blood out of your underwear after going to Chipotle... Doesn't agree with me either- it is the hot sauce - a known gas and D generator- that they put in everything.

We have them where I live, but I've never eaten in one. I don't care much for Mexican food, because I'm not crazy about beans and don't like guacamole and sour cream.
Colitis is in remission. No longer get IBS.

Figuring out how to reduce a flare or get into remission is a trial and error experience. Don't expect your GI to have all the answers. He was trained in making diagnoses, prescribing medications, and surgically removing the colon. He was not trained in alternative treatments. That's why they are called alternative treatments.

What works for me: Fecal transplantation, Probiotics, Anti-inflammatory foods, No HFCS, No crystalline fructose, No foods high in fructose, No artificial sweeteners, No pro-inflammatory foods when flaring, vitamins & supplements, Lexapro (for stress).

Pam, I don't think I will be travelling all the way to Lansing to see if there is one there or not.........this does not sound like a fun restaurant! lol

I'm not that crazy about mexican food either. The wildest I ever get is Taco Bell and that is only if I am in the mood.
