Hi All,

I swear I would feel ok if I didn't have gas that is stuck in my colon and won't move! I've tried Gas X prevention pills, like Beano, that doesn't help. I have to lay down on my left side to let it all out and when I go, I pass a ton of gas! Any suggestions there? I have gas weather I'm on meds or not, and it doesn't seem to matter what I eat or don't eat. Salads make it worse I would say.

I've upped my asacol again, bleeding still.

I had my laser resurfacing, OMG that was hard for the first three days, but doing great now.

I have my consult for my tubal ligation today. Very nervous, I'm almost thinking of not doing it.

Hi to Everyone!

I had low-grade x-rays taken to look at my bone structure after my first flare when I was in remission. The doctor said he could tell I had a digestive disorder of some form, because I had two packets of air, one on each side of my abdomen. He said that if the air was from something I had recently eaten, then there would be tiny bubbles everywhere. The fact that the air was concentrated meant that I had a digestive disorder of some kind.

As for my bones, I have great bones, very strong.

I think I get trapped gas too! I have been in remission since February but have been having more gas lately. I have an on and off, mainly on, painful cramp in my lower left side that I believe is trapped air. It is the same area that hurts when I am flaring, the sigmoid colon where things twist and turn. I tapered down from my 4 lialda a day to 3 in mid August and was aiming to drop to 2. Just today I decided to up it back to 4 to see if this gas problem resolves itself.

Yes, I have experiencing the same as well. Like something is stuck on my left side, sometimes a bit of air comes out and yes, super stinky! I think it feels like the farts are constipated! LOL No other way to describe, sorry. But I gotta laugh about it sometimes. Maybe that's why some of us get the distended belly during a flare?

I can't feel anything. Two big round balls of air. How will I know whether or not they get smaller or larger if I can't feel anything? X-rays aren't something to be gotten often.
